3.1.3.4. Setting our MX record for a subdomain

If the domain is served on third-party NS, changes must be made in the control panel of their owner.

The MX records specify the servers that should accept incoming mail sent to the mailboxes of the subdomain. For mail to be accepted by our mail server, the subdomain must be set our MX record.

  1. Openup domain settings.
  2. Add record with the following data:
    Subdomain Type Priority Data
    Subdomain name MX 0 mx.ukraine.com.ua
  3. Wait for the update DNS cache... This usually takes several hours (maximum 72).
  4. Check the work of the incoming mail.
