3.4.3. Ownership transfer of .RU and .SU domains

There are two options for transferring rights to .RU and .SU domains:

Domain administrator Is an individual or legal entity in whose name the .RU or .SU domain was registered. It is the domain administrator who is its actual owner, and not account ownerwhere the domain is located. Therefore, the procedure for transferring rights to .RU and .SU domains depends on who is current domain administrator and to whom the rights to it will be transferred.

Important points:

According to clause 6.5. Domain Name Registration Rules in .RU and .РФ Domains, it is not allowed to transfer the right to administer a domain name:
  • If the domain name registration period has expired.
  • Within 30 days from the date of transfer of rights to the domain from another person.
  • Within 30 days from the date of the change of the registrar supporting the domain name.

This operation is applicable when the data current domain administrator match with the data of the account owner, where the domain will be transferred.

To transfer a domain, you will need to contact us at technical support and indicate:

  • Individuals and sole proprietors — using a code sent to account mail.
  • Legal entity — using an application signed by an EDS through the service Paperless or Vchasno.

This operation is applicable when the data current domain administrator do not match with the data of the account owner, where the domain will be transferred, as well as for cases, if necessary change only domain administrator without the need to transfer it to another account.

To change the domain administrator, you will need to contact us at technical support and indicate:

  • Domain name.
  • ID and account mail new owner, if the domain is transferred to another account.

In short, changing an administrator is a rather time—consuming procedure, for which current domain administrator will need to send by regular mail to our partner:

    1. Completed application with notarized signature.
    2. Copies of the passport (for citizens of the Russian Federation: the main spread, the page with the registration and the 19th page of the passport).
    1. Completed application signed authorized the face of the enterprise and certified by the seal of this enterprise.
    2. A copy of the EDRPOU / TIN certificate of this enterprise, certified by the seal of this enterprise.
