2.13.1.1.2. No connection with WordPress.org

If, when trying to install or update WordPress components (themes, plugins) via site admin panel an error like this occurs "There may be something wrong with the WordPress.org site or with your server settings.", check the report antivirus... If the antivirus detects malicious code in the hosting account, outgoing connections are automatically blocked for it.

To remedy the situation, do the following:

  1. Check out antivirus report.
  2. Clean all infected files from malicious code.
  3. Run a second anti-virus scan.
  4. If no threats are found, wait about 15-30 minutes and check for a problem on the site.
