2.24.2.11.8. Configuring the mail client K-9 Mail (Android)

K-9 Mail (Google Play, GitHub) Is a free open source email client for Android devices.

  1. Open the main menu and click "Settings":
  2. In the section "Boxes" click "Add":
  3. Enter full title and password mailbox and press "FURTHER":
  4. Clickon "IMAP":
  5. Specify the settings for the incoming mail server and click "FURTHER":
    • "IMAP server" — specify mail.adm.tools.
    • "Security" - make sure it is selected "SSL/TLS".
    • "Port" - make sure it is specified 993.
    • "Login" — make sure it is indicated full title mailbox.
    • "Authentication" — make sure it is selected "Regular password".
    • "Password" — make sure the correct one is specified password mailbox.
    • Set the remaining settings as shown in the screenshot.
  6. Specify the outgoing server settings and click "FURTHER":
    • "SMTP server" — specify mail.adm.tools.
    • "Security" - make sure it is selected "SSL/TLS".
    • "Port" - make sure it is specified 465.
    • "Authorization" — make sure there is a check mark installed.
    • "Login" — make sure it is indicated full title mailbox.
    • "Authentication" — make sure it is selected "Regular password".
    • "Password" — make sure the correct one is specified password mailbox.
    • Set the remaining settings as shown in the screenshot.
  7. If necessary, set additional options, and click "FURTHER":
  8. Enter the name of the mail account, your name and click "READY":
  9. Check the operation of the connected mailbox.
