2.24.2.11.5. Configuring the Mailspring email client

Mailspring - mail client c open source for devices running Windows, macOS and Linux. Basic functions are available free of charge, advanced ones are available by subscription.

  1. If this is your first time launching an email client, create a Mailspring ID (account in the Mailspring service) or log in with an existing one.
  2. Open the application menu and tap "Add account…":
  3. On the page "Add mail account" click "IMAP/SMTP":
  4. On the page "Add an IMAP account" fill in the fields and click "Continue":
  5. On the page "Set up an account" specify the settings for connecting to the server and click "Add account":
    • Section "Incoming messages by mail (IMAP)":
      • "Server" — specify mail.adm.tools.
      • "Port" — make sure it is selected "993".
      • "Security" — make sure it is selected "SSL/TLS".
      • "Allow Insecure SSL" — necessarily check the box.
      • "Username" — specify mailbox name.
      • "Password" — specify mailbox password.
    • Section "Outgoing mail (SMTP)":
      • "Server" — specify mail.adm.tools.
      • "Port" — select "465".
      • "Security" — select "SSL/TLS".
      • "Allow Insecure SSL" — necessarily check the box.
      • "Username" — specify mailbox name.
      • "Password" — specify mailbox password.
  6. Check your mail.
