2.24.2.1.4. Import and export contacts to WebMail.Online
Vcard format
The vCard format is used to import and export contacts. Files in this format are plain text files with the extension .vcf
, which contain separate records of the vCard type with information for each of the contacts - name, email, phone numbers, address, etc. A detailed description of the format is available on Wikipedia in the article vCard.
Import
From file
- Open the section «Contacts».
- Select the desired contact section (inside the section «My contacts» you can optionally select a group) and press «Import contacts from a file»:
- Select the contacts file and click «Import contacts from a file»:
Option «Delete all current contacts of a section» — if enabled, all contacts in the selected section will be deleted before import.
From WebMail classic
You can only import contacts created for the same mailbox through the interface WebMail classic.
- Open the section «Contacts».
- Select the desired contact section (inside the section «My contacts» you can optionally select a group) and press «Import contacts from WebMail classic»:
- Select an import option and click «Import X contacts from WebMail classic mail client»:
- Import options:
- «Transfer by groups» — all contacts are transferred to the section «My contacts» into the same groups as they were in WebMail classic.
- «Move to shared contacts» — all contacts are transferred to the section «General contacts», the original groups are not preserved.
- «Move all contacts to current group» - all contacts are transferred to the selected group in the section «My contacts», the original groups are not preserved.
- Option «Delete all current contacts of a section» — if enabled, all contacts in the selected section will be deleted before import.
Export
- Open the section «Contacts».
- Select the desired contact section (inside the section «My contacts» you can optionally select a group) and press «Export all contacts of this section»:
