2.15.1.2.1. Notification about the need to direct the domain to the IP of the hosting account

Upon attempt installations with a free Let's Encrypt certificate, a notification may be displayed about the need to direct the domain to the IP of the hosting account:

The notification means that domain address records are not being served or pointing to the correct IP address. The correct direction of the domain is a prerequisite for obtaining the certificate.

The domain is not registered, not paid, or not active.

Solution:

  1. Depending on the situation:
    • Register domain (if not registered).
    • Renew domain (if not renewed).
    • Find out from the current registrar the reasons for the inoperability of the domain and eliminate them (if registered and paid for, but not active).
  2. Check domain settings and make sure it is correct directed to a hosting account.
  3. Wait for the DNS cache to update (1-24 hours).
