7.11. MongoDB backups

Automatic backups:

  • Created every night.
  • Stored for last 7 days and first day of the current month.
  • Located on a separate server and do not use space in the instance.

The database can be restored from a backup. Restoring replaces the current content with the data from the backup.

  1. In chapter «MongoDB» in the instance bar, click «Backups»:
  2. At the top of the page, click «Restore or download".
  3. Select database, date and click "Restore".

The backups page displays a history of all restore requests.

With MongoDB Database Tools you can download a dump with the current contents of the database and restore the entire database or a specific collection from the dump.
