New service — Elastic

2024-04-23

A new service has been launched —   Elastic.

Elastic (Elasticsearch)   — is a distributed, RESTful search and analytics engine that enables the storage, search, and analysis of large volumes of data in near real time. It is widely used in search engines, e-commerce platforms, monitoring and logging solutions, various CMSs, and more. Its ability to process large volumes of data, scale horizontally, and efficiently deliver accurate and relevant search results makes it a valuable tool for many organizations.

Pricing Plans. The service consists of a separate Elastic instance with resources corresponding to the selected pricing plan: the basic plan includes 2 CPU cores, 4 GB of RAM, and 40 GB of disk space, while the premium plan includes 6 CPU cores, 32 GB of RAM, and 100 GB of disk space. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan an unlimited number of times, but no more than once per day.

Indexes. The number of indexes is limited only by the instance's disk space.

Backups. Automatic backups are created every night for all indexes in the instance. Backups are retained for the past 7 days and the first day of the current month; they are stored on a separate server and do not take up space in the instance.

Payment. The payment is deducted from your account balance every night; the amount deducted depends on the highest rate used during the previous day. If there are insufficient funds in your account, the service will be deactivated and stored on the server for 10 days. During this period, you can top up your balance, pay for the cost of data storage since deactivation, and reactivate the service.

Access delegation and rights delegation are available for each instance.

A new section has been created on the wiki «Elastic» with general information on how to use the service.

The service is currently in beta testing. You can submit suggestions for improving its features via   Comments and suggestions.
