2.18.2. Outgoing connections

Attention!

All outgoing connections are automatically blocked when malicious code is detected by our antivirus. To unlock, you need to eliminate the antivirus remarks and run a second scan. If no threats are detected, the block will be removed automatically. Outgoing connections cannot be unblocked without removing the malicious code.
Outgoing connections are always sent from server direct IP address or with dedicated IP (if ordered). Please note that when sending a request to an address that has IPv6, the connection will be made on it, since it takes precedence over IPv4.

Outgoing connections are requests from hosted sites to third—party servers in the course of their work. You can view information about outgoing connections in the section «Hosting → Outgoing connections».

Statistics

At the top of the section, you can select the desired date for analysis from the list and filter connections by IP address, as well as manually block absolutely all outgoing connections for the hosting account: The list displays only the dates when outgoing connections were committed. The dates for which there were no such connections will not appear in the list.

The list of all recorded outgoing connections looks like this:

  • «IP» - the address to which the appeal was made, its PTR record and brief information about its owner.
  • «Protocol» - the protocol by which the connection was made.
  • «Port» - the port to which the call was made.
  • «Action» - connection status:
    • «ACCEPT» — The connection attempt was allowed. Attention! This status does not meanthat the third-party resource accepted the connection, and even more so that it responded with the right code and provided the necessary data.
    • «REJECT» — connection attempt was rejected (forbidden).
  • «Number of connections» - the number of connections with the specified address on the mentioned port for the selected date.
  • Lock — button to block / unblock connections to the specified IP address (add / remove an address from blocked connections).

At the bottom of the page, graphs are displayed showing the number of recorded outgoing connections by day over the last 30 days.

Blocked connections

All connections for which manual blocking is set are displayed in the block «Blocked outgoing connections»:

  • «IP» - blocked address, its PTR record and brief information about its owner.
  • «Protocol» - the protocol used to block connections.
  • «Port» - port to which connections are blocked.
  • «Notes» - button «Add note» allows you to add an arbitrary note to each blocked connection for convenience.
  • Lock — unblock connections to the specified IP (you can also unblock connections by checking the boxes next to the required entries and clicking «Delete rules»).

Button «Block IP» allows you to manually block outgoing connections to a specific IP address by specifying the port and protocol.
