2.15.2.4. Site blocked by browser as containing dangerous software
Attention!
Hosting.XYZ has no relation to the blocking of sites or domains within the programs Google SafeBrowsing, Netcraft, PhishTank, and others. Most modern browsers use updated online lists of fraudulent sites: sites containing phishing or content that is dangerous to visitors' software (viruses). The reason for adding a site to these lists is usually the presence of fraudulent content, but false positives are also possible.
If your site is marked as fraudulent, you must first familiarize yourself with the reasons for its inclusion in the lists and take steps to remove the unwanted content. Lists of fraudulent sites are updated periodically, and if the malicious content has been removed from your site, it will soon be removed from the lists. However, to speed up the process, you can remove the site from these lists yourself.
Chrome, Firefox, Safari
Important points:
- If you are unable to verify your domain ownership in Google Search Console, you should contact Google's support forum to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, there are no universal instructions for this service due to the specific nature of the problem.
- The domain may be blocked by the domain zone registry. Hosting.XYZ does not perform such blocking and cannot influence it.
Blocking a site or domain can significantly affect search results or site rankings. If a problem arises, measures should be taken as quickly as possible to resolve it.
Notes:
- You can quickly check the current status of the site on the special page.
- Detailed information is available at Google Help Center.
cThese browsers use the Google SafeBrowsing API. To unblock Google, you need to do the following:
- In Google Search Console, open the security issues report.
- Check out the info in the report and fix all the issues mentioned in the report on your site.
- In Google Search Console, request a re-review and wait for the results. If Google's review does not find any problems on your site, the block will be lifted within 1-2 days.
Opera
Protection against fake sites uses data provided by Netcraft and PhishTank, while protection against malicious code is provided by TRUSTe. If your site is marked as fraudulent by one of the listed resources, Opera will display a corresponding error message with a list of resources where your site is listed. You need to follow the link and follow the further instructions.
IE 8
If SmartScreen recognizes your site as fraudulent, to remove the site from blacklists, you must click "Report that this site does not contain threats" in the warning window to go to the Microsoft feedback site and follow the instructions provided.
You can also check your site using the service, which partners with companies such as Google, PayPal, Mozilla, AOL, Trend Micro, and Sunbelt Software. This service collects reports about potentially dangerous sites from its partners.
For reference
Phishing (from password and fishing) is a type of Internet fraud aimed at gaining access to confidential user data such as logins, passwords, or account numbers. This is achieved by sending mass emails on behalf of popular resources, such as social networks, banks, and other services. The message often contains a direct link to a site that looks identical to the real one. Once on such a site, the user may provide fraudsters with valuable information that allows them to gain access to accounts and bank accounts.
Also phishing is a type of social engineering based on users' lack of knowledge about basic network security: in particular, many people are unaware of the simple fact that services do not send messages asking for your login details, password, etc.
To protect against phishing, the makers of the main internet browsers have agreed to use the same methods to let users know when they've opened a suspicious site that might be run by scammers. Right now, a lot of popular browsers have this feature, which is called "anti-phishing".
