2.1.1. Getting started

To get started with hosting, you need to:

• Register (create an account).
• Order services:
  • Domain — a symbolic name for a network resource (e.g., a site or server) that is used to point requests to a specific server.
  • Hosting — a service for storing site data - its files and databases, as well as mailboxes. A registered domain is required to use the site fully.

Hosting and domain are two separate services. You can order them by following the instructions:

• Order hosting
• Register domain

When ordering, you can add both services to your cart at once to pay for them together. In the future, you will be able to pay for them either separately or together.

After ordering services, you can transfer to hosting a ready-made site or install one of the CMS. The domain will automatically be pointed to the correct server if a site with that name has been added in the "My sites" section.
