6.7. Public links to storage files and directories

In storages you can configure access by link to any files and directories. A link to a file allows you to download it directly, a link to a directory allows you to view and download its contents. At the same time, you cannot make any changes to the contents of the container through access by link — upload, rename and delete files, create directories, etc.

Links are created, refreshed and removed through the interface of web access. To manage them, you need to log in to the web interface as a user with read and write permissions.

The link will no longer work after it refresh or remove, as well as if the container does not contain the object it pointed to (for example, when it is renamed, moved, or deleted).

  1. Open the web access interface (link "URL for web access" on the container page).
  2. Log in as a user with read and write permissions.
  3. Click the get link button to the right of the file or directory name.
  4. In the window that opens, click "Get".
  5. Copy the link you get.
