5.20. Extra traffic for VPS

The standard limit can be increased by upgrading the plan.

Each server is provided with a standard monthly traffic limit — from 2 to 40 TB, depending on the VPS plan used.

When the limit is exhausted:

  • The channel speed for the server is reduced from 10 Gbps to 10 Mbps.
  • The notification is sent to the server owner.

Without payment, the speed will automatically be restored at the beginning of the next month.

Paid traffic is enabled in the "VPS" section on the "Statistics" tab in the "Traffic usage statistics" block:

After enabling this option, the server will revert to the standard channel speed and begin using paid traffic over the standard limit. Payment will be deducted from the balance for each 1 TB of extra traffic on the night immediately following the start of using that 1 TB.

The logic behind charging for extra traffic:

  1. You used the standard limit, activated extra traffic, and started using it — the next night, the payment for 1 TB of extra traffic will be deducted from your balance.
  2. For a couple of days, you continue to use the first TB of extra traffic — the payment is not deducted from your balance (it was deducted on the first night).
  3. You have used up all of your first 1 TB of extra traffic and have started using the second 1 TB — tonight, the cost of 1 TB of extra traffic will be deducted from your balance.
  4. Etc.

If there are insufficient funds on the balance, paid traffic is disabled and the channel speed is reduced. After recharging the balance, it will need to be reactivated manually.

At the beginning of each new month, the standard limit is allocated again, and no extra traffic charges are applied until it is fully used.
