2.5.2.2.1.8. Editing a file on the server with FileZilla

With FileZilla, you can edit files on the server. To edit, just right-click on the file and select «View/Edit»:

When you click on the edit button for a file, it will be downloaded and opened in the default editor set for this file type in FileZilla.

After making changes, you need to save the file. In most of the default editors, this can be done by clicking on «File → Save» or by pressing the combination Ctrl+S... As soon as the file is saved, a window will appear in FileZilla informing that the file uploaded for editing has been modified and can be uploaded to the server. In this case, you need to click «Yes» to commit changes to a file on the server:
