2.2.6 Changing the country of the hosting account

Important points:

  • Run migrations at times of low site traffic.
  • The country is changed for the entire hosting account. If you need to change the country for an individual site, order a separate hosting account, reschedule site to it and migrate it.
  • Migration may be temporarily unavailable when ordering or migrating to a businesshosting.
  • Migration is not available for hosting accounts with ordered dedicated IP. Migration requires settings all sites in the hosting account to switch to a common IP and disable all ordered dedicated IPs.
  • The availability of sites during migration depends on the selected mode of blocking sites during migration.
  • During the migration, read access will be restored to all files of the hosting account on behalf of the owner of this hosting account.
  • After the migration at connecting via SSH errors may occur "REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED" and "POSSIBLE DNS SPOOFING". Use the appropriate instructions to eliminate them.

  1. Open the section "Hosting".
  2. In the block "Location" click "Edit":
  3. Select a new country, site blocking mode during migration and press "Change country":
  4. Expect a few minutes to a few hours (depending on the size of your hosting account and the queue of transfer requests). Upon completion on mail a notification will be sent.
