2.2.4. Hosting account name

The hosting account name is used to identify it within the hosting system. It is set only at the time of ordering the hosting account, is unique, and cannot be changed.

• In invoices.
• In absolute paths to the root directories of the hosting account's sites.
• In the names of hosts of SSH, FTP and MySQL.
• As prefixes in user names FTP and MySQL, as well as database names.

The name has no effect on the functioning of sites or their positions in search engines.

To make it easier to navigate between hosting accounts, you can set a custom name (alias) for each of them using the edit button next to the name. This feature only changes how the hosting account name is displayed in the "Hosting" section. The custom name does not affect file system paths, host addresses, or user prefixes.

The name of the hosting account is displayed in the "Hosting" section in the "Hosting account" block:

• Without alias
• With alias
