2.5.1.8. Change permissions
- Select the file or directory for which you want to change permissions, right-click on it and select "Permissions" in the context menu:

- Set the required permissions using checkboxes or numbers and click "Set permissions for selected", or use the "Default" button to set default permissions:

- Only directories are selected — the "Add X for directories" option sets the "Execute (X)" permission required to access the contents of the directory.
- Selected files and directories — the "Set permissions recursively" option determines whether to change permissions for the contents of the selected directory:
- "For all files and directories" — permissions will be changed for all selected files, directories and the contents of these directories.
- "For files only" — permissions will be changed only for selected files and files in selected directories. The permissions for directories will not be affected.
- "For directories only" — permissions will be changed only for selected directories and their subdirectories. File permissions will not be affected.
