2.5.1.9. Password protect of site directories
With the file manager, you can restrict access to certain directories on the site with a login and password. When opening directories with a password set in the browser, visitors will need to enter the login and password.
Set password
Notes:
- To have passwording affect static files, remove their extensions from the static files list.
- Select the directory you want to lock with a password, right-click on it and select "Set password" in the context menu:

- Enter the desired login and password and click ✅.
- Wait 10-15 minutes for the changes to take effect.
The directory with the password set is displayed in the file list with the 🔒 icon.
Remove password
- Select the directory with the password set, right-click on it and select "Remove password" in the context menu:

- Confirm the operation by clicking ✅.
- Wait 10-15 minutes for the changes to take effect.
