2.6.1.2.2.1. Setting up a database connection in HeidiSQL

Before connecting, make sure that the IP from which the connection will be made is added to the list of allowed in security settings MySQL.

  1. Click «New» («Create a »):
  2. Fill in the fields on the tab «Settings» («Settings»):
    • «Network type» («Network type») - make sure that is selected «MariaDB or MySQL (TCP/IP)».
    • «Hostname / IP» («Hostname / IP») — specify the host from data to connect to the database.
    • «User» («User ) - specify the login from data to connect to the database.
    • «Password» («Password») - enter the password from data to connect to the database.
    • «Port» («Port») — make sure the default port is specified 3306.
    • «Databases» («Databases») — specify the name of the database from data to connect to the database.
  3. Click «Open» («Open») and in the window that appears, specify whether you want to save the specified connection settings.
