3.5.1.1. Transfer of international and thematic domains .COM, .NET, .ORG, .BIZ, .INFO, .XYZ, .CLUB, .LIFE, .AUDIO, and others.

Important points:

  • Due to the restrictions imposed by the registries of the respective domain zones, it is impossible to transfer an international domain if:
    • Less than 60 days have passed since the registration of the domain.
    • Less than 60 days have passed since the last domain transfer.
  • Before submitting a transfer request for a domain, the status clientTransferProhibited must not be set, as it blocks the transfer. You can check the current status using WHOIS.
  • The transfer is impossible if the recipient's account email is not confirmed, a phone number is not added, or the details are not completed.
  • The transfer cost includes a 1-year renewal. However, this renewal will be carried out only if the maximum domain delegation period of 10 years is not exceeded after this operation is completed.
  • The domain's NS can only be changed before the transfer begins or after it is complete; it can not be changed during the transfer process. After the transfer is complete, the domain's NS are not automatically changed to ours.
  • Only the current registrar (the one transferring the domain) can speed up the transfer process.

Procedure

Prepare domain for transfer

  1. Notify your current registrar that you wish to transfer your domain to Hosting Ukraine LLC.
    • If the current registrar requests the new registrar's identifier, enter ua.ukraine (in international zones, the identifier is not usually required).
  2. If the domain is set to the status clientTransferProhibited, which blocks the possibility of transfer, you need to change it to Ok through the current registrar.
  3. Request the domain transfer code from your current registrar — Auth-Code.

Submit transfer request

  1. Make sure that the domain is prepared for transfer.
  2. Open the transfer request form using any of the following methods:
    1. On the "Domain transfer" page, enter the domain name and click "Start domain transfer".
    2. In the "Domains" section, in the domain menu, click "Transfer to us" (if the domain has been added in our control panel).
  3. Enter the domain name, the transfer code (Auth-Code), and click "Next".
    • To transfer multiple domains, use the "Add domain" button.
  4. Review the transfer terms and conditions, then click "Transfer".
  5. Wait until the domain administrator verifies the data and issues an invoice for the domain transfer:
    • On business days, invoices are issued within one or more hours between 10:00 and 18:00.
    • On non-working days — 1-2 times a day.
  6. Pay the invoice issued for the domain transfer. When the payment is credited, a corresponding notification will be sent to the account email.
  7. After the funds are received according to the issued invoice, a request for domain transfer will be sent to the registry.

Domain transfer takes 5-6 days. Once the transfer is complete, a notification will be sent to your account email.
