A list of changes to the site for 2023 year

Main changes in 🌨 December:

  • Added support for Python 3.11.
  • In PHP settings, added the ability to specify auto_prepend_file independently.
  • Improved work of PHP profiler and output of its reports.
  • Speeded up rule applying when adding an IP to Firewall.
  • When configuring DKIM, 2048-bit keys are now created instead of 1024-bit keys.
  • In the file manager, the process of uploading files to the server has been optimized, the progress bar is now displayed in the operations window, and output of the number of uploaded files has been added.

  • Added a "Settings" section with the ability to configure the wait_timeout and connect_timeout parameters.
  • In the "Security" section, a tab with the log of failed authorizations has been added.

  • Methods for working with a separate MySQL service have been refined, descriptions have been added for all methods.

  • Added support for PHP 8.3.
  • On business hosting, the speed limits for disk operations have been increased.
  • In the "Hosting" section, added IO graph with number of disk IO operations (enables in graph settings).
  • Performance of the DDoS protection system has been improved.
  • For each database, a maximum of 100 recent slow queries are now stored.
  • In the file manager, for files and directories with original names in Punycode, an icon is displayed, if you hover over it, you can see the original name.
• ✉️ WebMail.Online:
  • A search has been added to the contact section.
  • Additional recipients — copies and hidden copies (visible only to the sender) are now visible when viewing emails. Added search by additional recipients.
• 🌎 Domains:
  • Added presets for domain connection to the service Framer.
  • Added limit on the number of tracked domains — (domains registered with us * 50) + 10.
  • To tracked now can not add subdomains, domains of non-existent zones, domains of zones that we do not register, domains to the end of which is more than 3 years, and Ukrainian zones, as for them there is a pre-order (except .UA, .UKR and .LVIV.UA).
  • When a domain release notification is sent, the domain is now removed from the tracked domains. If the added domain turns out to be reserved and cannot be registered, the system sends a letter about it and the domain is removed from the tracked domains.

  • The maximum number of dedicated IPs that can be ordered for a server has been increased from 8 to 64.
• 📦 Storages:
  • SSL certificate issuance when linking your domain has been accelerated.
• 🗂 MySQL:
  • UI has been updated — clicking on an instance now expands the list of its databases with information about them and management buttons, clicking on a database — the list of its users with management buttons.
  • The memory usage graph now displays two values — memory occupied by MySQL and memory occupied by the file cache.
• 👤 Account:
  • Implemented authorization with WebAuthn (with the possibility of setting up passwordless login).
• 💰 Payment:
  • FOPs can now recharge the balance from the current account only to pay for services with a daily fee. A corresponding warning has been added to the control panel and invoices.
  • For foreign legal entities, a VAT number has been added to PDF invoices for SWIFT.

  • Implemented realtime DDoS protection at nginx level.
  • The total size of manually created backups cannot now exceed the total disk space of the hosting account. If there is not enough space for new backups, it is enough to download and delete old backups.
  • On business hosting, the libatk-bridge (required for Puppeteer to run on Node.js) and libgbm (used in conjunction with libatk-bridge) libraries are now available.
  • Viewing the history of plan changes has been moved to the window with information about the plan.
  • PHP profiler reports now contain the actual host address used during profiling.
  • The process of MySQL database table optimization and repair operations is now displayed in real time in the console window in the corner of the screen.
  • In the "Mail from site" section, for each mail you can now see related lines from the mail server log, by which you can track the order of mail movement and its status.

  • In site settings, added the ability to specify your own HTML file of the 404 error page.
  • The list of blocked bots has been moved from the "Access restriction" section to the " Bot protection" section, the blocking and unblocking interface has been improved.
  • DataForSeoBot and a number of other bad bots have been added to the list of bots blocked by default.
  • Added the ability to unblock any bots which we block by default.
  • Access-logs now again display the response size and referrer.
  • On business hosting on a dedicated IP, you can now occupy ports 3000-3100.
  • In the file manager, the modal window with the progress of uploading or moving files has been removed — the progress is now displayed in the operations window on the background of the operation bar, and the ability to cancel the operation of uploading files has been added.
  • The SPF indicator in the "Mailboxes" section now separately takes into account the correctness of the record and the presence of our service in it.

  • In the main block of the storage added display of information about used inodes.
  • Improved selection of items in the web interface — instead of checkboxes now uses selection by clicking on the item line, you can select multiple items with Ctrl and Shift, as well as all items with Ctrl+A.
  • Links to files can now have the GET parameter dl=1 added to them, so that the file is downloaded instead of opening in the browser.
• 🗂 MySQL:
  
  • Dark themes have been added to phpMyAdmin.
• 👤 Account:
  
  • Any type of account can now be set up manually before the first payment.
  • When filling in personal data, the country must now match the country of the registration IP address or the country of the added phone number.
• 💰 Payment:
  
  • Added possibility to set up balance autorecharge.
  • When ordering extra services with daily payment it is now necessary to have an amount on your balance sufficient to pay for at least 1 day of such services.
  • It is now possible to recharge the balance through the terminal only in accounts of Ukrainian individuals.
  • FOPs can no longer pay for services of individuals from their settlement account (and thus change the type of account from individual to FOP), recharge the balance through a terminal and participate in the referral program.
  • FOPs and Ukrainian legal entities can now execute a contract through M.E.Doc.
  • For foreign clients (those who do not have Ukraine in their personal data) the balance is now only in euros, the minimum recharge amount is 5 €.
  • Funds from the referral balance can now be withdrawn to a card if the withdrawal amount is more than $100.
  • The list of invoices now displays information about which invoices the promo code was used to pay.

Main changes in 🌞 August:

• ☁️ Hosting:
  • Access-log output format has been reworked — added flag and country name display, added filter icon, for IPv6 only the /64 part is displayed, response code is displayed in a separate column, request is displayed in two lines — in one the request URL, in the other UserAgent and request source URL.
  • Server response time in the site technical check now does not take into account the time spent on redirects. The results display the URL that was used in the check.
  • Amazon's bot has often created pointless load on sites and is now blocked by default. If necessary, it can be unblocked in the site access restriction settings.
  • Antivirus notifications are now sent in two cases — when viruses are found and when they are not found. If the scan was run manually — notifications are always sent, if it was run automatically — only if the result differs from the previous scan.
  • When stopping or restarting Supervisor processes, old instances are now forcibly terminated within 3 seconds.
  • In the "Linux configuration" section, Node.js version changes have been made faster.
  • Added limit value output to the RAM usage graph (may be out of range when consumption is low).
• ✉️ WebMail.Online:
  
  • When viewing an email, a button to add to contacts or view information about a contact (depending on the address in contacts) is now displayed next to each sender's address.
  • Search field and dates in the email list now look like in Gmail.
• 🌎 Domains:
  • DNS settings for domains with third-party NS now show a warning and you have to click a button to access editing.
  • On the "Bulk change of domain settings" page, the form for selecting domains has been improved and a button to delete all selected domains has been added.
• 💻 VPS:
  • When activating VNC, you can now select a deactivation period from 1 to 24 hours.
  • The "Deleted VPS" item has been added to the side menu of the main section.
• 🗂 MySQL:
  • Realized a standalone MySQL service.
• 👤 Account:
  • Reworked authorization system — redesigned, removed the options "Remember me on this computer" and "Bind session to IP" (there is no more binding to IP, sessions are remembered by default), when passing 2FA through Telegram confirmation digits are a link to chat with our bot, removed the window offering to log in with a Google account if the browser has authorization in Google services, social network buttons are made more visible.
  • Hosting, domain, VPS and Dedicated expiration reminders are now sent not only to the owner, but also to users with delegated access to these services.
• 💰 Payment:
  • The minimum balance recharge amount has been increased from 10 to 50 UAH.
  • Ukrainian legal entities can now download acts for anonymous payments.
• 🤖 Telegram bot:
  • The structure of sections in the menu has been changed.
• 📖 Wiki:
  • Added "MySQL" section with basic articles and instructions on the standalone MySQL service.

  • In "My sites", for WordPress sites, a new "WordPress administration" section is available where you can view the WordPress version, update core, manage plugins, and perform profiling.
  • Due to the discontinuation of Universal Analytics support, you can no longer connect your site to Google Analytics by specifying your ID in the site optimization settings.
  • The MySQL-server load page has been redesigned. Charts are now displayed for all indicators for which statistics is collected.
  • Added a button to restart Supervisor processes.
  • DMARC report analyzer has been added to the "Mailboxes" section. To work with it, you need to add our DMARC record, after which reports from mail services will come to a special box and visual statistics will be generated on their basis.
  • WebMail.Online:
    
    • You can now specify contact groups in the recipients field. When you enter a group name, the number of contacts in the group is displayed in the tooltip.
    • One contact can now be in several groups at the same time.
    • Added possibility to insert addresses of several recipients at once in one line. Addresses must be separated by a comma, semicolon or tab.

  • The maximum value of max_input_vars has been increased to 100,000.
  • The WP-CLI utility is now available on hosting by default.
  • Dedicated IPs can no longer be ordered for hosting accounts during the test period.
  • If it is not possible to clear the OPcache cache (for example, due to directives in .htaccess), a tooltip is now displayed with information on how to clear the cache manually.
  • Added automatic formatting of output SQL queries on the Sphinx page.
  • For Sphinx, added error output when creating an index and added a check for the correctness of specifying the morphology for the language.
  • Support for real IP addresses of visitors for requests via CDN QUIC.cloud has been added to access logs.
  • In the site settings, all options related to security are now on a separate tab "Security".
  • In the "Access restriction" section, restrictions for IP addresses, countries, and bots are now displayed on separate tabs.
  • When malicious code is detected in hosting accounts, ports 25, 2525, and 465 are now available for connections to mail.adm.tools.
  • A new "Firewall" section has been added, where you can add individual IP addresses to our DDoS protection exceptions.
  • Limits on charts are now displayed as lines.
  • Disk space usage statistics are no longer collected. Relevant charts have been removed from the detailed disk space information.
  • Bot protection report is now available for the last 3 days.
  • For database users, you can now view failed connection attempts.
  • The language of the phpMyAdmin login page now depends on the presence of the lang GET variable and the browser language.
  • The maximum length of a mailbox name when setting up a redirect has been increased from 60 to 100 characters.
  • WebMail.Online:
    
    • Added "Reply all" button.
    • Added support for HTML signatures.
    • A character counter and the ability to insert images have been added to the signature editor form. Inserted images are placed in a special storage, links to them are substituted in emails using Secure Link.
    • Removed separate buttons to mark all emails as read or unread. Now it is enough to select all emails and use the buttons to mark selected ones. When you perform actions on all emails, you need to confirm.

  • On the domain settings page, a field has been added to quickly filter records by name, type, or value.
  • Hidden web redirect can no longer be enabled if X-Frame-Options: DENY header is returned in the target address response.
  • Prices for .TE.UA, .TERNOPIL.UA, .CV.UA, .CHERNIVTSI.UA, .CHERNOVTSY.UA domains have been increased.
  • Now only registered domains can be added to watchlists.

Main changes in 🌤 May:

• ☁️ Hosting:
  • The maximum value of the PHP max_execution_time parameter on shared hosting has been increased to 600 seconds.
  • On business hosting, the ability to run web applications in Python and Go has been added. A new item "Web application settings" has been added to the site menu.
  • In case of an unsuccessful attempt to pass protection from a bot, the server now returns a response 429. Improved reports of protection against bots — the IP address is now with a country flag and is clickable, the User-Agent output has been added.
  • In the site access logs, requests from direct IP addresses of the hosting account are now highlighted in green and a warning is displayed when such addresses are blocked.
  • In the "Site load" section, added the display of statistics on queries from the Google bot.
  • The deletion of a large number of files has been optimized in the file manager, the operation is now performed in the background.
  • In the "Databases" section, using the "Settings" button, you can now select the mode of database migration — with blocking the site for the duration of the migration and preserving data or without blocking the site, but with the risk of losing the changes made during the migration.
  • Improved and optimized antivirus operation, scanning is now faster.
  • Instead of a list of infected files, the anti-virus scan completed email now contains a link to the anti-virus page in the control panel, where you can view up-to-date information.
  • Significantly accelerated the creation of backup copies of databases.
  • In the "Mailboxes" section, the list of domain mailboxes is now collapsed by default and expanded on click, the number of its mailboxes is displayed next to the mail domain, a mailbox search field has been added.
  • In the "Mail from site" section, the "Statistics" tab has been added with statistics on sending mail to sites for the last 14 days.
  • WebMail.Online:
    
    • In the search results for found emails, icons of their folders are now displayed, pagination has been added.
    • Improved handling of emails with incorrectly specified encoding.
• 🌎 Domains:
  • Increased prices for .ORG.UA, .ART, .CYOU, .ICU domains.
  • The work of the domain pre-order system has been resumed.
  • Added zone .KROPYVNYTSKYI.UA, which is a mirror for .KIROVOGRAD.UA.
  • When deleting a domain registered with us in the control panel, it is now transferred to the clientHold status.

Main changes in 🌤 April:

• ☁️ Hosting:
  
  • Scripts run via OpenLiteSpeed on business hosting can now run up to 3600 seconds.
  • When errors are found in the .htaccess file, the OpenLiteSpeed web server will now automatically switch to Apache and send a notification accordingly.
  • Added the ability for Node.js to occupy any ports on a dedicated IP.
  • For sites in the "My Sites" section, only 1 screenshot is now stored. On click, the screenshot opens in full screen. The hover tooltip displays the date and time the screenshot was taken, as well as information about when and how often screenshots are taken.
  • CMS auto-install now checks for required PHP modules and MySQL version.
  • Data in the PHP error log is now output in the same time zone it was written in, without time adjustments.
  • On the "PHP Mail Log" page, a chart has been added with the number of emails sent from the site over the past 14 days.
  • The form for adding a cron task has been improved: a link to the list of available interpreters has been added, when an interpreter is specified from /usr/bin , its presence is checked and a notification is displayed if it is absent, when the path to a file with .py extension is specified, the interpreter of the latest available version of Python is substituted.
  • In the "Databases" section, a button for viewing active MySQL processes in the hosting account has been added.
  • In the file manager, a display of the download process has been added when using FTP as a source.
  • Reworked loading files using the file manager: loading directories is more stable, the progress bar now displays real percentages, a warning will be displayed when exiting while loading a directory.
  • The "Mailboxes" section now displays SPF, DKIM, and DMARC status for each mail domain.
  • For messages coming from outside, the actions from the DMARC policy are now performed: when reject , they are rejected, when quarantine they fall into spam. Adding a sender's IP address, domain, or mail to the whitelist will not apply the DMARC policy.
  • WebMail.Online:
    
    • Added validation of folder names. Standard folders can now be sorted and assigned icons. They may also contain subfolders.
    • The mail preview area now only appears after selecting a mail.
    • With split screen enabled, you can now view emails from search results. Results are no longer reset when opening an email.
    • The source text of the email now opens in a new tab.
• 🖥 Dedicated:
  
  • Monitoring is now performed by standard control panel tools: for all users, on the "Monitoring" tab, a rule has been added to ping the server once every 30 minutes, which you can manage yourself.
• 📦 Storages:
  
  • The web access interface has been redesigned and optimized: now the full list of files is loaded immediately, pagination works without refreshing the page and loading data, filtering and sorting is visually simplified and works completely in the client side, switching between list and gallery modes is performed without resetting the current page, file selection to delete or download is remembered between pages.
  • Storage type is now changed using public user rights. Changes are applied instantly.
  • Links to files and directories and links to upload files to the repository are now created only through the web access interface. You can view and delete such links in the control panel.
  • For directory links, you can individually configure the access level — read only or read with the ability to download files and create directories.
  • The storage retention period from deactivation to deletion is now 10 days.
  • The interface in the control panel has been changed: information about the occupied and available capacity is now displayed as a progress bar, the order of the tabs has been changed.
  • Link format changed: /public/img.jpg → /img.jpg , /secure-link/share/ → /secure/ , /secure-link/ip/ → /secure/ip/ , /secure-link/ip-ttl/ → /secure/ip/t/ , /secure-link/ttl/ → /secure/t/ , /share/ → /~/share/ (the old format is also supported).
  • A delegate button has been added to the storage list and deletion dates for blocked storages are displayed.

  • Added settings for restricting access by IP.
  • Added the ability to import MongoDB data from third-party servers.

  • Added the ability to specify a list of additional combinations of tag, attribute and category for which optimization should be applied in the PageSpeed settings.
  • Node.js settings now displays a notification if an app has been force-quitted due to using the wrong IP/port.
  • The system now monitors the status of Memcache(d), Redis, Sphinx and Node.js services. In the event of an emergency stop, they automatically restart after 10-15 seconds. For Sphinx and Node.js with more than 30 stops in the last 10 minutes, the restart is disabled, a notification is sent to the email and the services will need to be started manually on the corresponding page.
  • The maximum record size for Memcache(d) (the MAXITEMSIZE parameter) has been increased from 1 to the maximum possible value of 128 MB.
  • When transferring databases between servers (for example, in the process of changing the country for a hosting account), access to them is now blocked until the transfer is completed. For all sites in the hosting account during the migration, the "Service is temporarily unavailable" stub is displayed, which is automatically updated every 15 seconds and disappears immediately after the migration is completed.
  • All active queries are now automatically terminated for the database before it is restored from a backup.
  • Removed the ability to add addresses to the white list on the DDoS protection page.
  • Addresses of the Deflect traffic filtering service have been added to the white list of our DDoS protection. The service itself is now automatically detected in the access logs, and after its definition, the real IP addresses of visitors are displayed in the log.
