3.1.4.2. Referral of the domain registered with us to third-party hosting

You can refer your domain to a third-party hosting in one of two ways:

When using this method:

  • After installing third-party NS, changing domain records will need to be done through the control panel of the owner of these NS. Domain settings from our panel will stop working.
  • Domain renewal will be done in US, as earlier.
  1. Check with the third-party hosting provider for the NS to install for your domain.
  2. Install for NS domain provided by third-party hosting.
  3. Wait for the update DNS cache... This usually takes several hours (maximum 24).

All further steps to configure the domain will need to be performed on a third-party hosting.

When using this method:

  • Control domain settings will execute through our control panel as before.
  • Domain renewal will be done in US, as earlier.
  1. Check with the third-party hosting provider for the IP addresses to target your domain to.
  2. Edit address records like A and in the field "Data" provide them with a third-party hosting IP address in IPv4 format (four numbers separated by a dot):
  3. If the third-party hosting has additionally provided an IPv6 IP address (colon-separated groups of numbers and symbols), edit address records like AAAA and enter the provided IP address in the field "Data" (if the IP address was not provided in this format, remove these entries):
